What  is Global Leaders Forum?

The Global Leaders Forum (GLF), hosted by TV Chosun, is an international forum where policymakers, businessmen, and scholars from around the world gather together to find solutions to various problems facing Korea. Since the first episode in 2013, GLF has been seeking solutions, believing that the future growth of the Korean economy lies in discovering and realizing creative ideas. In celebration of this 12th anniversary, GLF would like to provide a venue for exchange to discuss policies that make Korea the world's best innovative country.

Welcome Letter

The Head of Press Headquarter of TV CHOSUN

Joo Yong Joong

Welcome to GLF 2024.

The international situation is undergoing a reign of chaos and rapid change. As Donald Trump won the U.S. presidential election, it is expected to bring significant shifts across the globe. For instance, the Russia-Ukraine war has entered a new phase with North Korea's involvement, and the growing conflict between Israel and Hamas is heightening tensions in the Middle East. In addition, the financial support measures introduced during the COVID era to boost the economy are now constraining economic growth, leading to signs of a global economic slowdown. Every field, from politics and the economy to security, faces unprecedented "hyper-uncertainty."

In response to these complex and unparalleled crises, TV Chosun has organized a forum to serve as a compass for navigating these times. In an age of conflict and division, finding ways to cooperate and coexist is paramount. The forum aims to assess the rapidly changing global dynamics and security landscape and to seek solutions to break through the deadlock in inter-Korean relations. It will also offer advice on the wise leadership qualities needed to usher in an era of unity over division. In addition, the forum will explore diverse values that challenge humanity today, including artificial intelligence (AI) and environmental sustainability.

Held under the theme of "New Global Leadership: Strategies for Unity, Prosperity, and Peace," this year’s Global Leaders Forum will provide an opportunity to explore a better future and a new world.
